Air-Fried Big Mac Smash Tacos

Course: Lunch, Dinner

Ingredients:

For the Tacos:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 cup iceberg lettuce, shredded

  • 1 large tomato, diced

  • 1 white onion, diced

  • 1 cup dill pickles, diced

  • 8 slices of cheddar cheese

  • 8 taco-sized flour tortillas

  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

For the Big Mac Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons ketchup

  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish

  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Begin by preheating the air fryer to 390°F (198°C).

  2. In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the Big Mac sauce. Whisk until well combined.

  3. On a clean work surface, lay out the tortillas.

  4. Place 2-3 tablespoons of ground beef onto each tortilla.

  5. Using your hands or a spatula, spread the beef evenly around the tortilla until it just reaches the edges.

  6. Sprinkle with salt and pepper then place in the preheated air-fryer for 4 minutes, ensuring the tacos don’t overlap. You’ll likely need to do this in batches.

  7. After 4 minutes, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the beef and air-fry for another minute.

  8. Once all of the tacos are cooked, top the beef with shredded iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced onion, and diced dill pickles.

  9. Drizzle each taco with the prepared Big Mac Sauce.

  10. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish if desired and serve immediately.
