Air Fried Churro Bites

Course: Snack, Dessert

Ingredients:

  • 1 package King's Hawaiian Rolls (12 rolls)

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Cooking spray (for the air fryer basket)

  • 1/2 cup chocolate sauce or caramel sauce (optional, for dipping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Cut each King's Hawaiian Roll into quarters to create bite-sized pieces.

  3. Place the quartered rolls in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the melted butter over the rolls and gently toss to coat them evenly.

  4. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray.

  5. Arrange the buttered roll pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.

  6. Air fry for about 5-6 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The churro bites should turn golden brown and crispy.

  7. Prepare the Cinnamon-Sugar Coating:

  8. While the churro bites are air frying, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a shallow bowl.

  9. As soon as the churro bites come out of the air fryer and while they're still warm, roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, making sure they're evenly coated.

  10. Arrange the coated churro bites on a serving platter.

  11. If using, heat the chocolate sauce or caramel sauce in a microwave-safe bowl until warm. Drizzle on top or serve it alongside the churro bites as a dip for extra indulgence.
