Creamy Mac n Cheese topped with Crispy Honey Chicken

Ingredients

For the Creamy Mac n Cheese:

  • 16 ounces elbow macaroni or your preferred pasta shape

  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 4 cups milk

  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Crispy Honey Chicken:

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1-2 minutes until it forms a paste and starts to bubble.

  3. Gradually whisk in the milk, making sure there are no lumps. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth.

  5. Add the Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  6. Stir in the cooked pasta, making sure it's well coated with the cheese sauce.

  7. Cook the Crispy Honey Chicken according to package instructions then coat in the sauce provided, reserving about 1/4 cup for topping.

  8. Transfer the creamy mac and cheese to a serving dish or individual bowls.

  9. Top with the Crispy Honey Chicken pieces.

  10. Drizzle with remaining sauce and garnish with green onions. 

  11. Serve immediately and enjoy!
