Doritos Coated Cheese Ball

Course: Appetizer, Snack

Ingredients:

For the Cheese Ball:

  • 8 oz (227g) cream cheese, softened

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • Pinch of salt (adjust to taste)

For the Coating:

  • 2 cups Doritos Minis Nacho Cheese, finely crushed (use a food processor or a sealed plastic bag and rolling pin)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, finely chopped green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and a pinch of salt to taste.

  2. Use a hand mixer or a sturdy spatula to thoroughly combine all the ingredients until the mixture is smooth and well blended.

  3. Scoop the cheese mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap. Gather the corners of the plastic wrap to shape the mixture into a ball. Twist and seal the plastic wrap tightly around the cheese ball. Refrigerate the cheese ball for at least 1 hour to allow it to firm up.

  4. In a shallow dish, place the finely crushed Doritos Minis Nacho Cheese.

  5. Unwrap the chilled cheese ball and carefully roll it in the Doritos Minis, pressing gently to adhere the coating to the cheese.

  6. Place the coated cheese ball in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set the coating.

  7. Arrange the easy cheese ball coated in Doritos Minis Nacho Cheese on a platter with additional Doritos Minis, assorted crackers, bread, or vegetable sticks for dipping.
