Sweet & Savory Bagel Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 plain bagel

  • 2 tablespoons strawberry jam

  • 2 breakfast sausages

  • 1 crispy hash brown patty

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 slice cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or toaster oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the plain bagel in half horizontally and lightly toast it. Set aside.

  2. In a small skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausages according to the package instructions until they are browned and cooked through. Once done, remove them from the skillet and set them aside.

  3. In the same skillet, cook the crispy hash brown patty according to the package instructions until it is golden and crispy. Set it aside.

  4. In a separate non-stick skillet, fry the egg to your desired doneness. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Once cooked, place the slice of cheddar cheese on top of the egg in the skillet, allowing it to melt slightly.

  5. To assemble the sandwich, spread strawberry jam on the top and bottom half of the toasted bagel.

  6. Place the cooked breakfast sausages on top of the jam.

  7. Next, add the crispy hash brown patty on top of the sausages.

  8. Carefully transfer the fried egg with melted cheddar cheese on top of the hash brown patty.

  9. Finally, place the top half of the bagel over the egg to complete the sandwich.

  10. Serve the bagel sandwich warm and enjoy!
