Easy Coffee Cake Recipe
This easy coffee cake recipe is soft, cinnamon-swirled, and perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a cozy afternoon treat. Made with simple ingredients and ready in under an hour!
4tablespoonsof room-temperature butter cut into cubes
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cream your sugar by combining the butter and granulated sugar in a stand mixer. Mix until creamy, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the remaining wet ingredients to the stand mixer and mix until well combined, about 2 minutes.
In a separate bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients and whisk together until well combined.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the stand mixer and mix until well combined for another 2 minutes and set aside.
Moving onto the crumble, combine the sugar, cinnamon, and flour in a small bowl, then add in your room-temperature butter and combine it by using two forks in each hand, making a cutting motion. This method leaves small pieces of butter intact before baking and will help the crumble not sink into your bake.
Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and add in 1/2 of the batter then sprinkle half of the cinnamon crumble on top. Add the remaining batter on top of that and sprinkle with the remaining crumble, making sure the entire top of the cake is covered.
Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour depending on your oven then remove from oven and let cool completely.
Cut the cake into slices as desired and serve with your favorite cup of coffee or enjoy it by itself!
