Ingredients:
For the Chorizo Meatballs:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 medium onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 large egg
1/4 cup milk
For the Sliders:
12 pack Hawaiian sweet rolls
1 cup marinara sauce
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon oregano
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, for topping
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chorizo, ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Add this mixture to the meat mixture and gently combine until well incorporated.
Shape the meat mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned on the outside.
While the meatballs are baking, cut the Hawaiian rolls in half to create slider buns.
Once the meatballs are done, place a meatball on each bottom half of the King's Hawaiian Rolls.
Place a spoonful of marinara on top of the meatballs followed by a sprinkle of cheese.
In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic powder, and oregano. Mix well to combine.
Place the top half of the rolls over the meatballs and brush the butter mixture on top followed by a sprinkle the Parmesan cheese.
Cover the rolls with tin foil and place the sliders back in the oven and bake for 5 minutes, remove the tin foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes until the cheese and melted and the buns are lightly browned.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before enjoying.
