Easy Focaccia Sandwich

Focaccia Sandwich with pesto, prosciutto, salami, mozzarella, arugula, and tomato

Easy Focaccia Sandwich

Course: Sandwich, Lunch, Dinner

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of store bought or homemade focaccia (I use this recipe when making my own)

  • 1/2 cup pesto, store bought or homemade

  • 1 3oz. package of prosciutto

  • 1 4oz. package of Genoa salami

  • 1 8oz. mozzarella cheese ball, cut into thin slices

  • 1 large tomato, cut into thin slices

  • 1 handful arugula

Instructions:

  1. Keeping the bread flat on a cutting board, turn your serrated knife sideways and slice horizontally through the center of the loaf.

  2. Spread pesto on the insides of both halves.

  3. Lay the bottom half of the bread onto a pan and begin layering on as much prosciutto, salami, mozzarella, arugula, and tomato as you’d like.

  4. Place the top half of the bread onto the sandwich and press down slightly.

  5. Heat the pan to medium-hight heat and allow the sandwich to warm to your liking - I heated mine for about 4 minutes on each side.

  6. Remove the sandwich from heat, cut into as many pieces as you’d like and enjoy!
